D-700
In the automatic position, D-700 monitors phase current voltages and controls automatic starting, stopping and load transfer generators in the event of a grid failure. In case of mains failure D-700 energizes the remote control starting system output and waits until sufficient number of generator sets to supply the scheduled main power are started, synchronized and closed to the bus. Once the ready signal input is applied, the D-700 transfers the load to the bus. Once the bus is alive and ready signal applied, monitor internal protections and external fault inputs. If a fault condition occurs, the unit opens the load circuit breaker immediately and stops the generator multiple sets automatically, indicates the fault source on the LCD Display and red alarm LED is illuminated. Up to 7 generation sets can be compared to the grid using D-700 units, without the need for additional modules. Communication between modules is done using the Datalink Connection. The D-700 unit is capable of transferring load between power and multiple generation sets in 3 different ways: 1. Interrupted Transfer: There will be a power interruption period during the transfer. 2. No interruption transfer: Transfer will be done without power interruption. The unit starts sending commands for generating multiple synchronize sets and waits until network and common buses phases within the synchronization limits and does a quick transfer. 3. Soft Transfer: Transfer will be done without power interruption. The unit starts sending multi genset commands to synchronize and waits until power and common bus phases are within synchronization limits and closes the load circuit switch and does a smooth ramp transfer. The D-700 units are capable of running multiple generator sets in parallel with the grid in two different ways 1. Peak trimming: If this feature is activated, in automatic mode when the active power take-off reached the programmed run limit D- 700 runs the generator from multiple sets, then maximum active power supply is reached, D-700 synchronizes the multiple generator sets to the grid and multiple generator sets supply the remaining power amount of active electrical current programmed by the user. 2. Export of energy to the electrical grid: If this feature is activated, in automatic mode the D-700 runs multiple generation sets and synchronizes with the power grid and defined with programmed power factor is exported to the grid. The operation of the device is controlled with the front panel buttons. The TEST, OFF, AUTO and MANUAL buttons select the mode of operation. Other buttons run and stop the generator sets manually, control the load circuit breaker, the mains circuit breaker, select the program output/input mode, scroll display parameters, provide mute alarm and test lamp functions. Also all previous major operations can be done by programmed digital inputs. The front panel buttons can be locked by a programmed input against unauthorized intervention. The DKG-700 provides a comprehensive set of digitally adjustable timers, threshold levels, input and output settings, and operating sequences. Unauthorized access to program parameters is prevented by a level 3 system password. All programs can be modified via front panel buttons and do not require an external drive. Modification of programs can also be deactivated via the wired Program Lock input. Fault conditions are considered in two categories Warnings and Alarms. Measured values have separate programmable limits for alert and alarm conditions
